Unboxing and First Setup

The box includes: the kettle pot, glass lid, steamer tray, egg boiler tray (7 eggs), idli maker tray, wooden spatula, cleaning sponge, and detachable power cord. Everything is packed tight. No missing parts in any of the units I checked.

First use tip: Boil plain water in the pot once before cooking any food. Empty it out. This cleans any factory residue. Takes 10 minutes. Every new appliance needs this step.

What It Does Well (5 Strengths)

1. Versatility is real — I tested all 15 claimed recipes. Rice, dal, eggs, momos, idlis, chai, Maggi, pasta, soup, oats — all worked. This is not marketing fluff. It genuinely cooks 15 types of meals.
2. Two heat settings matter — The LOW 300W setting is what separates this from cheap electric kettles. Without it, you cannot simmer dal or keep food warm. Most competitors under Rs 2,000 do not have this.
3. Accessories are useful — The egg tray, steamer tray, and idli tray are not gimmicks. I used all three regularly over 30 days. The egg tray alone saves buying a Rs 600 egg boiler.
4. Portable and lightweight — Under 1.2 kg. I took it on a weekend trip. Fits in a backpack. Works on any standard wall socket.
5. Cool-touch exterior — The outside stays cool even during cooking. Important if you have kids nearby or limited counter space.

What It Does Not Do Well (4 Honest Limits)

1. 600W is slow for large volumes — Boiling 1.2L of water takes 8-10 minutes. A gas stove does it in 3-4 minutes. If speed is your priority, this is noticeably slower.
2. 1.2L is small for families — One cup of rice feeds one or two people. For a family of four, you need two batches. This is a solo or couple device, not a family cooker.
3. LOW 300W is very slow — The LOW setting is great for simmering but terrible for initial heating. Always start on HIGH and switch to LOW once boiling.
4. No auto shut-off for cooking — It does not know when your rice or dal is done. You need to time it and turn it off yourself. Dedicated rice cookers have automatic sensors.

• Your kitchen is small or you have no kitchen

• You want fully automatic cooking — no auto sensors
• You already have a full kitchen setup — this would be redundant

Overall verdict: For its price (Rs 1,699 steel, Rs 1,899 non-stick), this is the best value multipurpose cooker I have tested. The accessory bundle alone is worth Rs 1,500+. It is not perfect, but nothing at this price is.
