A magnetic dosing funnel that helps keep the coffee in the basket
Grinding or dosing straight into a portafilter often leaves a ring of coffee on the counter and in the drip tray. The InstaCuppa magnetic espresso dosing funnel sits on the rim of your portafilter basket and helps keep the grounds in the basket instead.
Eight magnets, a firmer grip
It has eight magnets in its base, four more than a standard 4-magnet funnel, for a better, firmer grip on the basket rim while you grind and stir. How well the magnets grip depends on your basket's steel, and the hold is lighter on a bottomless portafilter.
Seat. Grind. Lift off.
- Seat the funnel on the basket rim.
- Grind straight in or pour from a dosing cup. The sloped inner wall guides the coffee down into the basket, and the raised wall gives you room to stir with a WDT tool if you use one.
- Lift the funnel straight up, then tamp.
Rinse it with water and dry it after use, and skip abrasive pads.
