How We Compared These 5 Lint Removers

Our method was simple. For each model, we read the brand's own product page or its Amazon.in listing. We wrote down the blade type, the power source, the battery time, the warranty and the price on that day. Where a brand does not state a number, our table says "not listed". We did not guess it.

An earlier version of this page gave lint weights and battery times from a side-by-side test. We have no records of that test, so we took those numbers out. Blade quality still matters a lot. A lint remover that goes dull fast is not worth your money, no matter how cheap it is.

Which Is the Best Lint Remover in India?

The best lint remover for clothes depends on the fabric. Thin knits and silk need a low speed. Thick sweaters and blankets need more power. A model with speed settings lets one machine handle both. A corded model never runs out of charge, but the wire limits where you can use it.

Good quality shows up in three places: sharp stainless steel blades, a mesh that does not bend, and a motor that keeps its speed. Check the warranty too. Philips gives 2 years on the GC026. InstaCuppa and the Nova listing below give 1 year.

One more check from 2026. A Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) order makes the ISI mark under IS 302 (Part 1): 2024 compulsory for household electrical appliances from 1 October 2026, and battery-operated appliances are in its scope (BIS list of upcoming QCOs). Lint removers are not named, but BIS calls its list of products "illustrative". Look for the ISI mark on the box or the listing before you buy.

The Nova is the cheapest but needs a wall socket. The Xiaomi lists the longest battery time, but Xiaomi does not sell it on its India store. Read on for each model.

InstaCuppa Rechargeable Lint Remover — Best Value

Six blades sit behind the mesh cover. The mesh has holes in 3 sizes, so it can catch small fuzz and bigger pills. A large lint box means you empty it less often.

The three speed settings are useful. Press the power button once for low, twice for medium and three times for high. Our product page says to use low on delicate fabrics like silk, chiffon, cashmere or thin woollens. Use high on heavy sweaters, blankets and sofa covers. Of the other four models here, none lists speed settings on its page.

What we liked: Six blades, three speeds, USB charging and a large lint box. At Rs 559.55, it costs less than the AGARO LR2007 on Amazon.in (Rs 623) on the same day.

What could be better: Battery time. The product video says up to 60 minutes of use after a 2-hour charge. But our own product FAQ says buyers usually get about 20 to 30 minutes of non-stop use, less on high speed. That is enough for a few sweaters, not a full wardrobe in one go. The Xiaomi and AGARO list longer times.

Market check: On 9 October 2026, the top seller in the Lint Shavers category on Amazon.in was a rechargeable model, the AGARO LR2007. A corded Nova model was number 4.

Philips GC026 — Best Known Brand

Philips says the blades turn at up to 8800 rounds per minute. The mesh has holes in 3 sizes to catch pills of all sizes. A height adjustment cap helps on the most delicate clothes. Philips does not list a blade count or speed settings.

The main drawback is the AA battery design. Two Philips AA batteries come in the box. After that, you buy new cells each time they run out. A rechargeable model needs only a USB cable, so it can cost less to run over time.

Who should buy: People who trust Philips and want a 2-year warranty. If that matters more than features, the GC026 is fine, once it is back in stock.

Xiaomi Lint Remover — Longest Listed Battery Life

Xiaomi's global page lists a 5 W motor, a weight of 213 g and a 0.35 mm reinforced steel mesh. It also says the machine stops when the blade cover or lint box is taken off. That is a good safety feature. Xiaomi does not list a blade count.

We could not find an India price. The Xiaomi India store link for this model gave a "not found" page on 9 October 2026, and it did not show up in an Amazon.in search that day. You may only find it through importers, with no local warranty promise.

Who should buy: People who want the longest battery time and can buy it from a seller they trust. Ask the seller who handles repairs in India first.

AGARO LR2007 Lint Remover — Top Seller on Amazon.in

It is rated 4.3 out of 5 stars from 8,380 ratings on Amazon.in. The listing says it works only when the steel mesh cover is fitted tightly, which helps stop cuts. It has half the blades of the InstaCuppa, and the listing does not mention speed settings.

Who should buy: People who want a popular, well-reviewed rechargeable model with a 60-minute battery. If you want speed settings for delicate fabrics, look at a model that lists them.

Nova Lint Remover — Cheapest Pick (Corded)

It is rated 4.1 out of 5 stars from 8,623 ratings and was number 4 in Lint Shavers on Amazon.in that day. Nova sells several lint removers on Amazon.in, so check the exact listing. The wire keeps you near a socket, which is fine at home but harder for a sofa in the middle of a room.

Who should buy: Someone who wants the lowest price and does not mind a wire. If you want to use it anywhere, or need speed settings, spend about Rs 280 more for the InstaCuppa.

Lint remover brands you will see in India include Philips, AGARO, Nova, Lifelong and InstaCuppa, plus many small sellers. A cheap model is fine for thick blankets. For good sweaters, pay a little more for sharp stainless steel blades, a strong mesh and a low speed.
